When I moved to Calgary in 2012, I began riding public transit for the first time in my life.
I was shocked at how poorly Calgary Transit served my basic needs as a non-car owning citizen. And so, my alter-ego, Transit Tylo was born.
Transit Tylo is a solutions-based (yet sarcastic) transit critic, with a vision of holding Mayor Nenshi and Calgary City Council to their own vision of enabling public transit, walking and cycling to be the preferred mobility choices for more people.
I spent my hours riding transit around Calgary analyzing and documenting my experiences and providing helpful suggestions on how Calgary Transit can improve.
I also had a chat with Newstalk 770’s Kingkade & Breakenridge about the hail storm incident.
After Calgary Transit came out with a new “customer commitment”, I offered some ideas on how to make the organization more customer focused.
